They have helped create an entrepreneurial ecosystem to facilitate innovative ideas! Startups of Alex; an incubation program under IceAlex, observed the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Alex a few years back. What they saw was an increase in the number startups. However, they also saw that only a few became successful whilst a lot were simply not known. It’s great to now see diverse initiatives taken towards this sector, Alexandria might actually become a competitive startup hub to Cairo!

They provide DIY workshops, mentoring, prototyping & digital manufacturing services. As well as co-working spaces, training workshops and networking! IceAlex also took part in the Global Entrepreneurship Week by having the Alexandria Entrepreneurs Day Conference. They also have some things coming up too, so watch out for them! Techne Summit
Techne Summit is an international entrepreneurship event that takes part on a yearly basis in Alex (this year on the 29th of September), according to their website. It’s a great opportunity for all the stakeholders in the innovative ecosystem to meet! Startups, potential individuals, investors, mentors and public officials from all over the MENA region!
